The construction of the Northern Wing

 

Accessibility to Inclusive Education Project - Part I (The construction of the Northern Wing):

 

Project Objective:

  1. To construct an additional floor on the northern side, to serve as an annex to the school, in order to extend the educational services up to Grade 12.
  2. To build capacities of the teachers and therapists working directly with the students, in order to upgrade their skills in managing an inclusive class room setting.

 

Project Outcome:

 

Students with special needs, mainly those who are physically disabled, hearing and visually impaired and those who have learning difficulties, now have the opportunity to complete their secondary education in an inclusive educational setting, from KG to Grade 12.

 

Project Duration:

 

Construction work was completed in Spring 2005.
